The opportunities found in the city of Worcester expand the boundaries of the traditional classroom, enriching Clark University's students personally and professionally.
Clark students embrace their city. They make a difference in the community by volunteering with one of the many student-run outreach groups, or assisting the many local human services organizations. They apply classroom knowledge to internships at city businesses, ranging form medical centers and law firms to design agencies and newspapers. They enjoy the plentiful and varied recreational opportunities of a city with 25,000 students. Other universities are located in cities, but few are as involved with their neighborhood as Clark. The University Park Partnership is a national model of how universities can share their greatest asset - intellectual capital - and instill hope and ambition within their neighbors.
Clark University's identity is tied to Worcester. Without easy access to the real-world opportunities of such a city, Clark wouldn't be the same place, nor would our students have the same life-changing experiences.
