Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is available for students
who have matriculated into a degree program at the College of Professional
and Continuing Education. Whether you are full time (3 courses are considered
to be full time for financial aid in COPACE) or part time, undergraduate
or graduate, if you have a financial need, it is well worth exploring the
options. Money is available to eligible, matriculated students (U.S. citizen
or permanent resident) with a demonstrated need who show successful advancement
toward the completion of a degree.

Veteran's Education Program
All credit courses offered by COPACE are approved for eligible
veterans under the provision of Chapter 38 Veteran's Administration
Education Program. Veterans pay tuition and fees at the time of
registration and are reimbursed by the Veteran's Administration
(VA). Veterans eligible for assistance, or who think they may be
eligible, should apply to the regional VA office, (800) 827-1000,
before registering for classes.
Third-Party Benefits
COPACE accepts tuition reimbursement from Massachusetts Rehabilitation
and the Department of Social Services. When registering for a course,
students should submit the appropriate completed forms from the
reimbursement agency.
Employer Reimbursement
Students who will be reimbursed by their employers must pay full
tuition and fees at registration or make special arrangements with
the COPACE accounts receivable coordinator. Employer reimbursement
policy letters should be submitted at registration each semester.
COPACE will gladly submit all forms and grades necessary for student
reimbursement. To ensure timely reimbursement, students must sign
up for "early grades" at registration.
How to Apply for Scholarships
Clark's Office of Financial Assistance will guide you throught
the process of applying for federal, state and COPACE scholarship
dollars. The first step in applying for any form of financial assistance
(other than Endowed Scholarships) is to file the Massachusetts
Financial Assistance Form, available at the COPACE office. The
student must mail this form to the College Scholarship Service
in Princeton, New Jersey. Approximately three weeks later, you
will receive a multiple page Student Aid report. The COPACE Friends
Scholarship applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as a COPACE form which is available
at the Financial Assistance Office.
While waiting for a response from C.S.S., a filer/non-filer statement,
copies of your most recent income tax form and financial aid transcripts
from any schools you have previously attended must be submitted
to the Clark Financial Assistance Office.
Eligibility is based on financial need. A standard formula is
used to determine the difference between your cost of education
(including tution, books and fees) and an amount you can be expected
to contribute. Factors such as income and assets are all taken
into consideration, as well as any extenuating circumstances.
